There's not much sign of any improvement in the weather

It was a bleak scene looking across Oldham Edge this afternoon (Friday)
The wet, windy, yet mild theme across Oldham and the north-west is set to continue throughout the weekend.
It really has been a miserable few days, and the forecast for the remainder of today (Friday) is for more thick cloud and patchy rain.
Those features will be heaviest over the hills and Pennines.
There will be the odd drier slot here and there, while temperatures peaked at 10 degrees today.
Temperatures are not expected to drop below 9 degrees overnight tonight (Friday), but it will be noticeably cooler on Saturday evening and into Sunday (6 degrees maximum throughout the day).
Yellow weather warnings will be in force for tomorrow in parts of the north-west, but the strongest gusty winds will be confined to Scotland and the Pennines.
Wind gusts of between 55 and 65 mph are expected in parts of the north-west tomorrow.
