The talented students from Blue Coat's School heading to Oxbridge
A record number of students from Blue Coat School in Oldham, are heading to Oxbridge this year.
Six pupils received offers from the prestigious universities.
Headteacher of Blue Coat, Rob Higgins, said "We're all delighted with the success of our students.
They have worked hard, not only in lessons but also by attending open days, summer schools, entering competitions and Olympiads.
They have also made good use of the support offered by subject teachers and the staff running our Oxbridge support programme."
The talented teens are some of the brightest in the region. They've all opted to study challenging subjects..
The students heaidng to Oxford and the subjects they will take are: Rish Dhoot - maths, Kirsten Fletcher -geography, Kian O'Connor - law, James Goddard - maths and Samuel Williamson - engineering science.
Jack Bragg is going to Cambridge to read natural science.
