Oldham's FREE Festival of Light to celebrate different faiths

Oldham Evening Chronicle readers are invited to join the “Oldham Festival of Light 2019” which is being organised to celebrate the Festivals of Christmas, Diwali, Chanukah, and Mawlid-an-Nabbi.
Entry is FREE by prior booking.
The events is taking place at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, on Rochdale Road and starts at 6.30pm.
The aim is to bring people of various faiths and none, together in the annual event, now in its 17th year.
Organisers are hoping it will go some way to improving understanding of people from different faiths and cultures as well as sharing in each others festivals.
This year’s line up of entertainment includes, Christmas carols, Brass Band, Indian Dance and Nasheed.
The Festival of Light will end with a simple shared Buffet meal.
It is an opportunity to meet people and get to know each other.
