Wellifest will return in 2020
Talented headline acts and local musicians will take to the stage as Wellifest 2020 returns bigger and better than ever to Saddleworth.
The family musical event will be back for a third year on Saturday, June 27 at Well-i-hole Farm in Greenfield, organised by the Rotary Clubs of Oldham Metro and Saddleworth.
Star billing goes to the Manchester Ska Foundation who will be supported by Jam Restart and an array of fantastic local bands.
A special slot will be reserved for the winners and runners-up of the Wellifest singing competition for 12 to 16-year-olds, with auditions currently taking place.
Tony Burke, from RC Saddleworth, said: “Wellifest offers the biggest and best community music event in the area.
“We have a brand new extensive bar area to ensure everyone will be served quickly and an extensive food area suppling everything from pizza and burgers to Greek street food and wraps.”
Gates open on the day at 2pm with live music from 3pm-9.30pm.
Advance tickets are now on sale online, where you can also see a full line-up of acts: wellifest.com
The following day – June 28 – sees the return of the Rotary Clubs’ highly popular Saddleworth Show also at Wellihole Farm, with the two events raising more than £20,000 last year for charities and local good causes.
Frank Bolger, from RC Oldham Metro, added: “We have to give our thanks to those firms who sponsored our events in 2019 and we have a new range of sponsor packages available for 2020 which can be seen on our website.
“Under the banner of ‘proud to be part of the community’, we are encouraging local firms to support our events and help us raise more money for local good causes and Rotary sponsored charities while gaining great publicity for your firm.
“Every penny profit raised goes to the good causes with no deductions for administration.”
A list of charities supported recently is shown on the website. For more details about sponsorship packages contact Frank by email: fcbolger@btinternet.com.
