Lorry bringing chaos to Dobcross
A wayward lorry brought chaos to a Saddleworth village, which is reeling from recent random incidents.
The lorry caused a log jam after it travelled up Woods Lane, through the ithe village square last night.
The lorry began to travel towards Sugar Lane but then reversed into Platt Lane - next to an historic monument toppled in a earlier incident- before returning down Woods Lane to rejoin Dobcross New Road.
No damage to property was reported.
Locals took to social media to complain entry signs into the village were being ignored by heavy goods vehicles.
Problems ar being compounded by new drain works in the main A62 Oldham Road at Delph leading to diversions and more signage.
Now villagers have asked Oldham Council to send their engineers to review signage.
