Oldham company release new eco-friendly toilet rolls
Date published: 20 August 2019

Nova Tissue is based in Oldham
A new ‘Soft on Nature’ Toilet Tissue has been created by Nova Tissue in Hollinwood in response to increasing demand for and the need to produce more sustainable hygiene products.
The toilet tissue is manufactured from responsibly sourced trees and is wrapped in plastic free, 100% compostable packaging made from potato starch with no harmful toxins or oil-based materials.
Each roll has 45% more paper compacted onto the roll, which means fewer rolls will be needed and as a result 30% less delivery trucks on the roads.
Managing Director Khurram Iqbal said, "When we did some research into it we realised lot of (current eco-friendly products) are made in China or Sweden- we wanted to make something in the UK and sold here too."
