Oldham’s Kingfisher school rated Outstanding by Ofsted

Staff at Kingfisher Special School in Oldham are celebrating after being rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted once again.

Inspectors visited the Chadderton based school on the 11th June and have praised it in their report about what they found while they were there, even recommending the school shares it’s expertise and teacher-and-learning research findings with other schools.

The leadership team at the school have come in for praise from inspectors who commented: “The leadership team has maintained the outstanding quality of education in the school since the last inspection.”

It continues: “Staff know pupils extremely well. They take the time to access their needs and find the ‘hook’ that will work to engage them in learning.”

Kingfisher School in Chadderton has received a funding boost

“Parents are overwhelmingly positive about the school. They feel part of the school family and talk with passion about the difference the school has made to their children.”

In response to the findings of Ofsted inspectors, the school have said, in a statement, they’re delighted with the results: “We are delighted to share with you the outcome of our recent Ofsted Inspection (11.06.19).

“Ofsted judged Kingfisher Special School to still be providing an outstanding quality of education. We work hard to provide the most effective engaging learning opportunities for the children and it is pleasing to have had our judgement validated. The Kingfisher team continue to excel in what they do and we are proud to be part of such an amazing team.”
