Shared ownership homes coming to Oldham

There’s now more affordable home-buying options after the arrival of shared ownership in Oldham following the launch of 10 three-bedroom homes for sale.

Shared ownership is a popular Government-backed scheme offering the opportunity to part-buy, and part-rent with a low deposit.

These homes are available from £55,300 (for a 35% share) with a rent of £235 per month. Larger shares of up to 75% can also be purchased.

The homes at Pavilion Green, just a stone’s throw from the park and cricket club in Royton, are the first in a series of new developments from Fabric Living Ltd, part of housing association First Choice Homes Oldham, which specialises in quality suburban homes available for shared ownership. As First Choice Homes Oldham is a not-for-profit organisation, any profit made on the new homes will be invested back into social housing in Oldham.

People interested in purchasing a home are now being invited to make an appointment to attend the sales launch at the Mercure Manchester Norton Grange Hotel and Spa, OL11 2XZ on Friday 15 and Saturday 16February, 10am-6pm. All of the homes feature light, spacious rooms, modern fitted kitchens, contemporary bathrooms and off-road parking. They are conveniently located within easy reach of green spaces, Royton town centre and transport routes to Manchester.

The homes are expected to be ready by the end of March 2019 and are being developed in partnership with Oldham Council and Homes England as part of First Choice Homes Oldham’s commitment to improving lives and meeting housing demand in the borough.
