Mottram tops at Tod once again

PETE Mottram once again topped a Todmorden AS members match, his latest victory coming on Croft where he fished on the pole to record a 34lb 11oz catch of good sized carp.

Paul Wilkinson was second with corn alternated between the tip and pole to catch himself 29lb 13oz of smaller stamp carp.

The next and final Todmorden AS teams of three open match takes place on Croft Fishery and the Rochdale Canal this Sunday.

The next Todmorden AS Trophy match is on Sunday, March 6 on Croft.

Meanwhile, Todmorden AS has put its subscriptions up by £1, with seniors now paying £48. Juniors up to their 12th birthday join free but must be accompanied by an adult. Juniors 12-16 are £12, while women, OAPs, disabled and 16-18s) are £26. Memberships from local tackle shops.



PETE Cuniffe topped the latest Twingate AC OAPs match fished on the club water, with his usual caster hookbait fished up and down in the water netted him 8lb 15oz of roach and skimmers. Peter Hill took second with almost identical tactics to weigh in 6lb 2oz of silvers.



KEN Power (Tri-Cast Highfield) continued his domination at Field Farm Fishery with another win.

Power topped the weights with three carp, a dozen skimmers and a few silvers that fell to pellet over groundbait and weighed 16lb 13oz. Dave Holman fished the method feeder for three carp that together weighed in at 13lb 14oz.



MOSS Farm Fisheries have just dug a lake, Lillies, full of silvers and tiny f1s and carp. Dave Holland (Tri-Cast Highfield) found it to his liking as on his first visit he won a match with over 200 fish that weighed 34lb 12oz.

Travelling partner Ken Power was second with long pole and maggot also getting him amongst the fish, with small silvers making up his 25lb 12oz net.
