Conway collects

GOLF: BROOKDALE men played round three of the ‘Race to the Start’, and a string of good Stableford scores was led in by John Conway with 42 points.

Also in the hunt were Jason Williams (41pts), Alan McQuaid (40pts) and Dave Taylor and Chris Ullah, who both returned 39.


THERE is an excellent entry for the Manchester and District Alliance’s Scratch Knock-out.

It features professionals and top amateurs from the region aiming to reach finals day on April 10 at Ashton-on-Mersey.


THE draw has been made for the Manchester and District Ladies Golf Association’s Bell Cup.

The competition sees the top seven women players in the club playing a knock-out competition. Finals’ day is at Bramhall on September 2.

Ashton go to High Legh and Oldham host Prestbury in the preliminary round.
