Twin peaks for ace Hill

Angling: PETE Hill won the latest Twingate AC OAP match on the club water with his 7lb catch including some of the newly-stocked f1s, ide and skimmers which fell to 13-metre pole and maggot.
Mick Diskin was second with 3lb 14oz.
Hill made it two wins in a week when he topped the Twingate AC winter match weights. His 4lb catch comprised a 2lb carp, skimmers and ide. Steve Baines was second with his 1lb 8oz net made up of a solitary carp.
OLD Hough Farm Fishery was Diggle AC’s latest match venue and it was Gary Matthews who took first place on Boulders Lake with 19lb 15oz. John Horrocks was second with 19lb 11oz, followed by Dave Oates (12lb 3oz).
Ian Cox topped the weights on Goose Lake with 23lb 9oz, followed by organiser Dave Machin’s 18lb 15oz.
Mike Henshaw tops the league standings with 17 points, easing Graham Mitchell and Gary Mathews into joint second with 18 points.
FRED Prudham won a contest at the Park Lake with four f1s taken on pole and maggot weighing 4lb 4oz.
Next came Paul Lord (3lb 6oz) and Lee Horsfall (2lb 2oz).
THE first Todmorden AS teams of three open match fished on Croft saw Chris Lett demolish the opposition with an incredible 85lb 9oz of carp that fell to pole, pellet, bomb and bread combinations.
NEWHEY-based Sandy Barker has fished for some of the best teams in the country so his pedigree is second to none and he showed some of that class to win the Highfield Fisheries over-60s match with 48lb 12oz of carp to 4lb, with corn and pellet fished on the deck the telling method.
