Rowley roars with rapid treble

OLDHAM Ladies Hockey Club firsts wrapped-up 2015 on a high with a 3-0 win at basement side Manchester Moss Park.

Karen Rowley did the damage with a superb first-half hat-trick in the North Hockey Women’s League Division Two South-West clash.

Though Oldham didn’t let up in the second half, Yvonne Jackson and Rachael Johnson were both thwarted by the Moss Park ’keeper. Rebecca Blair and Fran Barlow impressed for Oldham, who enter the Christmas and New Year break in good spirits.
