King George’s cup goal rush

LIMESIDE King George could hardly stop scoring as they routed White House 17-1 in the Oldham Sunday League Challenge Cup.
Jermaine Steele and Wayne Ware both bagged four goals, while completing the immense tally were Liam Cashmore (three), Joe Heap (two), Richard Ballerzak (two), Warren Berry and Tom Heap.
Matt Bowyer hit White House’s reply.
League champions Rifle saw off Alt Athletic 4-1 thanks to a Nathan Eastmond treble and a further goal from Ryan Hobin.
Ste Barrow replied.
Chaddy Cott triumphed 3-2 at Royton CC as Chris McDonald, Jordan Bamford and Sean Morrow were on the mark.
Liam Brown and N Morgan registered for the cricketers.
The only Jack Abbott Premier Division tie played saw Limeside Athletic hammer Carrion Crow 8-4.
connor Berry (four), Jack Tindall (two), Dave Shaw and Connor Jeffrey netted for Athletic, while Tonly Lloyd (three) and Danny Fitzhugh replied.
In David Giblin Division One, Dave Hodgkins (two), Dave Laryea and Gareth Armstead struck for Legends of Lees as they cruised to a 4-0 win at Old Skool.
Oldham Lions and Horseshoe drew 3-3 in Martin Buckley Division Two.
Nassar Hussain (two) and Tuliseef Ayub scored for the Lions, with Callum Maznyczencko, Kyle Townsend and Daniel Jackson responding for Horseshoe.
There was plenty of Manchester County Cup action, with Coppice United leading the way for the local league as they thumped CWC 8-3.
Muzaffar Ali (three), Yasir Ali (two), Azuka Otutu (two) and Shabir Ali netted for United.
Kiel Jackson (three) and Reece Holden scored for Crown as they prevailed 4-1 at Burnage Metro.
Jamie Royle (two) and Gary Chadderton scored as Limeside King George trumphed 3-0 at High Crompton Victoria.
Callum Franklin and Ashley Ainsworth both hit trebles as Fitton Hill sunk Failsworth Villa 7-2.
Aaron Murdoch wrapped up a convincing win.
FC Failsworth went through to the next round after winning 5-4 on penalties at Halton Juniors.
The match had ended 4-4 after extra-time, with Lee Bradshaw (two), Daryl Lawrence and Ronnie Leighton scoring for Failsworth.
