Mitch Bryant, scores the second goal for Mossley.
MOSSLEY joint-boss Peter Band is hoping striker Mitchell Bryant is returning to his best form after missing almost all of last season through suspension.
Former Manchester United and Reading junior Bryant, now 24, started last season in terrific style following his switch from Hitchin Town, bagging seven goals in 14 appearances.
However, a whopping eight-month ban following an altercation with a
referee after being shown a red card led to Bryant’s season being curtailed prematurely.
Bryant, to his great credit, stuck with Mossley this season, and though it began slowly he has now scored four times this term.
The strike in the 4-1 home win against Radcliffe Borough was his third in the last two league matches.
Band said: “Mitch looks back to his old self again now.
“Things didn’t quite click for him during the early part of the season, mainly due to his lack of match action.
“However, he’s fully motivated again now and long may the goals keep coming.”
Bryant should feature for the Lilywhites in tonight’s Evo-Stik League Doodson Cup first-round tie away at Ossett Albion (7.45pm kick-off).
