SNOOKER:
DEAF ‘C’ have claimed possession of top spot in the Hollands Pies Oldham Amateur Snooker League.
A break of 41 from Andy Pickup got the ball rolling in their first frame at Three Cs ‘B’ before wins by M Merrington and S Clarke helped them to a 4-2 victory and place at the snooker summit.
St Pauls pulled off the perfect result at home to Chadderton Reform, and their 6-0 whitewash has
catapulted them into joint second place alongside Three Cs ‘A’, who were held to a draw at Blue Club ‘A’.
Saints almost recorded the perfect double. They added to their snooker win with a 3-1 success at cards and are top of the rankings in that discipline.
