FOOTBALL: 3D DYNAMOS are going great guns in Division Four of the Huddersfield and District League.
Their latest 2-0 win over promotion rivals Black Horse came courtesy of goals from Danny Heywood and Kyle Moore. Hot-shot Heywood have now scored in 10 consecutive fixtures for Dynamos, who are joint top of the table.
In Division One, Heyside made it seven matches unbeaten with a 6-1 win over Britannia Sports.
Mark Hopwood put the title hopefuls in front after five minutes — James Leonard supplied the cross — with number two coming moments later as Daniel Dunn nodded home.
The game was still only a quarter old when Britannia reduced the arrears, but Heyside were soon back in the ascendancy with midfielder Johnny Pauley curling in a right-foot shot from the edge of the box and Gary Schofield sliding home a fourth.
Man of the match Pauley grabbed his second inside the final quarter, before substitute Rick Ollerton opened his account for the season from 25 yards. Heyside are two points behind leaders Shelley, while Diggle are in eighth place after going down 8-4 at Hepworth.
Moorside dropped to fourth in Division Three after losing 5-2 at home to leaders Colne Valley, and Uppermill remain second bottom after succumbing 7-0 at home to Hade Edge.
Rick Headon’s 25-yard screamer earned Heyside, who were reduced to 10 men after Chris Taylor’s dismissal, a 1-1 draw at leaders Newsome in Reserve Division One.
Glynn Partington scored Uppermill’s consolation goal in a 5-1 loss at Aimbry in Reserve Division Three.
Martin Kenny bagged a treble for Heyside ‘A’, who beat 3D Dynamos’ second string 7-1 in Reserve Division Four.
Josh Riley (two), Corey Eastmond and Danny Tindall also netted for Heyside, while Harry Wardle replied.
