BROTHERS Ste and Alan Daubney hit back from a two-hole deficit to win the final of the Daily Mail Foursomes at Oldham.
Opponents Steve Warburton and Daniel Marland were two up after eight holes, but the Daubneys showed their fighting spirit to turn it round and clinch a two-up victory.
The last medal of the year at Oldham saw new member R Baines triumphant with a nett 63.
Next came Ste Daubney, who shot 64 and won a card play-off.
Sunday’s professional’s competition, a single Stableford, was won by Mark Heywood with 39 points.
Wayne Adamson was runner-up with 37.
LEE Conway shot 74-5-69 to secure major success in Crompton and Royton’s final-day medal.
Conway defeated runner-up Justin Smyth (80-11-69) and Richard Flynn (81-12-69) in a three-way card play-off.
One handicapper Mike Shaw produced a 74 to win the lowest gross prize.
The final-day subsidiary medal was won by Steven Sharrock, who posted 85-19-66.
Runner-up, four shots adrift, was Paul Ireson (80-10-70).
FIONA Hesten won the Village Shield at Saddleworth with a 12-hole score of 27 points.
Sandra Hague was second with 23, while Greenfield and Uppermill took the village honours.
SOPHIA Garrity shot a nett 71 to win the 18-hole strokeplay consolation at Blackley from Kathleen Ruddy (75) and Jean Stroud (76).
