Five-star Ainsworth sinks Carrion Crow

Football: FITTON Hill continued their great start to the Oldham Sunday League Jack Abbott Premier Division season with another goal rout.
Hill won 9-3 at Carrion Crow, with Ashley Ainsworth picking up five goals. Callum Franklin bagged a hat-trick, while Kaine Rradcliffe was also on target. Ashley Grant (two) and Callum Beckett scored for Carrion Crow.
Ryan Hobin netted a hat-trick as champions Rifle secured their first win of the season, 6-3 at Crown. Niall Sultan (two) and Carl Beamish also registered for Rifle, while Corey Eastmond (two) and Dane Mansfield replied.
J Steele, A Stafford and C Robinson scored for Limeside King George in a 3-1 win against Coppice United, for whom Umar Khatab responded.
Jack Brocklehurst scored a hat-trick as High Crompton Victoria defeated Old Skool 5-4 in David Giblin Division One.
Anthony Jones and Michael Rowlatt were also on the mark, while Umyer Hussain, Shaid Mahmood and Kamran Zaameer (two) replied.
Dave Laryea’s brace helped Legends of Lees to a 2-1 win against Royton Athletic, for whom Ryan O’Donnell scored.
Top House were the joint-top scorers in Martin Buckley Division Two, seeing off Royton Cricket Club 6-1 thanks to Danny Adams (three), Luke Butler, Jack Warburton and Chris Ollerton. Carl Taylor scored for the cricketers.
Oldham XI prevailed 6-2 at Rochdale Rangers courtesy of strikes from Jamie Clarke (two), Liam Ure (two), Aaron Taylor and Paul Stevenson.
Ademola Okuwa and Idi Lulaca scored for Rangers.
Tuhseed Ayub, Nasser Hussain (two) and Waseem Hussain were on target for Oldham Lions in a 4-1 success against White House, for whom David Riley netted.
Jason Casey, Craig Givener, Jordan Howarth, Simon Davis and Wayne Dean scored for Heyrod in a 5-3 victory against Horseshoe.
HOLDERS Rifle FC will entertain Alt Athletic in the first round of the Oldham Sunday League’s Challenge Cup competition.
