Non-league football:
MOSSLEY’S woes continued as they slumped to another Evo-Stik League Division One North defeat.
The Lilywhites were beaten 3-2 at home by Warrington Town and have now lost their last four matches.
All the goals came in a frantic first half. Chris Gahgan gave Town the lead after 13 minutes, but Mossley were quickly back on terms thanks to Luke Horrocks’ well-taken goal.
Steven Gillespie put Town back in front midway through the first half, only for Ryan Marley to make it 2-2 soon afterwards.
What turned out to be the match winner came from the experienced Ciaran Kilheeney in the 31st minute. The Lilywhites will hope to arrest their worrying run of defeats when they host Prescot Cables next weekend.
CHADDERTON’S five-match unbeaten run was ended by a late strike at Holker Old Boys in the North-West Counties League First Division.
Dillan O’Connor looked to have rescued a point for Chaddy when his strike cancelled out an early opener from Old Boys’ Gareth Smith. But the hosts sealed victory in dramatic fashion when Bradley Hubbold pounced to net the winning goal with just two minutes to go.
Chaddy are next in action tonight when they travel to Hyde United in the Manchester Premier Cup first round (7.45pm kick-off).
