DELPH wrapped up their Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership campaign in dramatic style when they crushed Skelmanthorpe by nine wickets.
Skelmanthorpe took first knock and crashed to 102 all out, largely thanks to Wasim Qasim, who took six wickets for 30.
Showers meant Delph’s victory target was reduced to 97 and they stormed to victory in just seven overs. Skipper Arron Lilley smashed 68 not out in only 28 balls, hitting seven fours and five sixes.
MID-table WOODHOUSES lost by eight wickets against Dukinfield in their final Greene King Lancashire County League fixture. The visitors eased to 129 for two when replying to ’Houses’ opening knock of 126 for seven.
