Beech’s knock-out blow with podium place in sight

MECHANICAL failure robbed Ashley Beech his first podium finish of the season in the National Superstock 1000 Championship.
The Moorside rider was in the leading three at half distance at Knockhill when he suffered brake trouble. Almost colliding with other riders over the next few laps, Beech had no option but to retire to the pits - a disappointing end to a weekend that had promised much.
Despite Beech’s race ending early, the team know they possess a bike and rider capable of winning races. Round eight is at Brands Hatch in two weeks’ time.
