TWO of our five local sides have made it to the quarter-finals of the JW Lees Bitter Tom Hardman Twenty20 Competition.
The Lake Garage CLL’s short-format event reached its conclusion on Friday and, when the mathematicians had worked out net run rates, it transpired that Royton had reached the last eight
despite having won only one of their three matches in Group ‘C’. Their reward is a trip to defending champions Norden on Friday, July 3.
Heyside qualified with three wins from four Group ‘B’ matches and they will go to Redbrook to take on Rochdale. The other ties see Radcliffe entertain Walsden and Heywood travel to Monton and Weaste.
