LANCASHIRE over-50s recorded a comprehensive victory over Derbyshire at Buxton.
Batting first in the National League fixture, the Red Rose county posted 244 for seven. Phill Sutcliffe made 54 before retiring hurt, Chris Dearden struck 51 and John Partington 35.
Thanks to some tight bowling, the home side were never able to challenge Lancashire’s total and were eventually restricted to 182 for nine.
John Punchard bagged three for 27 and Keith Roscoe claimed two for 33. There were also two run outs.
Lancashire are in action next Wednesday (June 17), with Cheshire the hosts at Widnes.
