Triple delight for Oldham

OLDHAM Netball club has celebrated triple success at the recent Chorley tournament.
The under-12s Hawks team led the way by winning the competition for the third year in a row, cruising through the group stage and topping their pool. Oldham roared to an 11-4 victory over Bury Lions in the final. Alex Martin won the player of the tournament award after nine almost faultless performances.
Oldham’s under-nines Owlets again faced Bury in the final after defeating Trafford 5-3 in the last four.
Izzy Kerrison was named player of the tournament after inspiring the Owlets to a 7-6 final triumph.
Oldham’s under-10s wrapped up a dream treble for the local club by surging to an 11-5 final victory against Ribble Reindeers. Having cruised to six wins in the group stage, Oldham hammered Bury 9-0 in the semi-finals.
Oldham’s under-13s Falcons consolidated their top spot in the Greater Manchester County Junior League thanks to a 59-17 win against Tyldesley. Hannah Cusack was the star player.
