Super Sheila bags eight-shot success

SHEILA Whittingham brushed aside her rivals to bag the Lady Captain’s Day competition at Werneth.
Rounds of 105-28-77 and 98-28-70 for a 147 total clinched a commanding eight-shot success for Sheila.
Next-best was Eileen Fallows with scores 99-23-76 and 102-23-79.
Sheila Waterhouse picked up the round one, first-division honour with 98-25-73, with Dee Whittingham (109-32-77) top of division two.
Fiona Dooley won the first division in round two with 80-7-73, and Tracey Rowbotham (104-32-72) claimed the division two spoils.
The Subsidiary award went to Kath Lomas after identical two identical rounds of 112-33-79 for 158.
At CROMPTON and ROYTON, the two-round Mr Captain’s Prize went to lady captain Julie Barton (195-50-145), from Jennifer Kenworthy (191-44-147).
Val Hall (94-23-71) claimed first-day honours, while Zoe Styles (78-6-72) bagged second-day laurels.
