GARETH Barber led the way with four tries as Oldham ran riot against their determined but out-classed visitors.

Max Horsfall was particularly impressive for the hosts in a convincing display.

The Mossley Hill pack looked quite large, but Oldham were able to handle them easily, setting up chance after chance for the backs.

The first of these saw Jordan McEwan stride over after being put through by Joe Hesse.

Then Barber scored the first of his tries before being involved in Oldham’s best move of the season.

Phil Graham, Callum Megram. Horsfall and Will Mellor were also prominent as passes were slipped with precision, the latter completing a brilliant move.

Soon after, Oldham secured a bonus point when Phil Conroy fed Barber to finish on the right of the posts.

Megram added his third goal to stretch the lead to 26-0 before a Hill penalty made it 26-3 at half-time.

The second half continued in much the same vein with two more tries from Barber and one apiece for Horsfall, Mellor and Megram, who also had three successful conversions. Hill replied with one try.
