Rangers look to finish off the job

RUGBY LEAGUE: SADDLEWORTH Rangers make a swift return to East Hull tomorrow — this time with a place in round two of the Carnegie Challenge Cup up for grabs (kick-off 1.30pm).
Last weekend, Keith Brennan’s men put 22 unanswered points on the board in the first half of the National Conference League Premier Division clash, only for the Humbersiders to score 22 points of their own in the second period to earn a draw.
Rangers are in for a busy weekend as they tackle Pennine League side Hollinwood in the semi-finals of the Standard Cup at Fields New Road on Sunday (1pm).
Oldham St Anne’s are preparing for a tough first-round tie in the Challenge Cup.
Mick Cashin’s team, are fourth from bottom in the NCL Division but only six points off second place, are at home to top-flight Hull Dockers tomorrow (1.30pm).
Saints also let a big lead slip last weekend. They were 22-6 ahead at Stanley Rangers, only to lose 36-22.
Waterhead play host to Egremont Rangers in an all-Division Two encounter at Peach Road tomorrow (1.30pm). The home side, beaten by Folly Lane in the Standard Cup on Wednesday night, are languishing at the foot of the table, while their opponents are gunning for promotion.
