NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY manager Shaun Higgins is expected to shuffle the pack for the trip to Woodley Sports in Division One North of the Evo-Stik League tomorrow (3pm) .
It is the second of three games within the space of six days for the Lilywhites, who drew 1-1 with Curzon Ashton on Wednesday night. They are also at home to Clitheroe in the league on Monday (3pm)
With one eye firmly fixed on a feverish schedule until the end of the season — Mossley could be playing twice a week to make up for a clutch of postponements — Higgins feels it is important to use all of his squad.
Higgins said: “I’ll be looking to freshen things up, with central midfielder Sam Hare and Callum Byrne, who plays just behind the front two, coming in for the Woodley match.
“They are both young, enthusiastic and are used to playing on the 3G. Saying that, we train twice a week on the surface and it is not as great a leveller as it once used to be.”
IT’S all systems go at Chadderton, who play host to Abbey Hey in Division One of the Vodkat North-West Counties League on Monday.
Paul Buckley’s title hopefuls were last in action on December 11 when they defeated Irlam 2-1.
Buckley admits the test of their fitness will be in a match situation.
Chadderton are without midfielder Gaz Morris, who will be serving the second of a three-game ban for being sent off.
OLDHAM Boro, who have not played, let alone trained, in December because of the icy conditions, visit basement boys Rochdale Town on Monday.
“I expect the players will be blowing a bit,” said Boro manager Tony Mills, who can call upon Darren Scanlon and Nick Alexander for the NWCL Division One clash.
Scanlon is coming to the end of a three-week break from the army and he will be desperate for a game before he returns to his duties.
