NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:
MOSSLEY return to action after a three-week absence tonight, when they travel to Cammell Laird in the Evo-Stik League Division One North (7.45pm).
The freeze led to a string of postponements, and the Lilywhites squad played an 11-a-side practice match at the weekend to avoid fitness levels dropping any further.
Mossley manager Shaun Higgins said: “It will be good to play a match again after so long without one.
“As you can probably imagine, a few of the players were out of breath in the practice game because they are lacking match time. It was something we needed to do.
“We are looking forward to getting back in the swing of things. It will be a tough test, because Cammell Laird is a difficult place to get a result at the best of times.”
Higgins has a fully fit squad from which to choose for tonight’s clash. His side are 18th in the table with 15 points to their name, but have played only 13 times. Only neighbours Curzon Ashton have featured less this term.
