ANGLING: GRAHAM Mitchell topped the Chadderton Mill AC winter series match on the club water.
The Gilders rod weighed in a 36lb 8oz catch of three carp and plenty of ide on maggot up in the water.
Mick Tighe, also of Gilders, was the runner-up with 33lb. He had seven carp on pellet and corn at eight metres.
Aiden Bordiak (Tight Lines, Shaw), in third place, enticed carp and ide in his 31lb catch on the pole and maggot up and down in the water from peg three.
Lee Humphries (GTI Matchman) was fourth, with his ide and carp net weighing in at 29lb..
TODMORDEN AS open matches on the Rochdale Canal are proving popular — and it’s no wonder as the water is fishing well, with bread punch and caster doing the damage.
The last match in this series is on Sunday, December 5, at Castleton.
