MOORSIDE Classic organiser Geoff Woolley has urged local players to move quickly if they wish to book a place in next year’s competition.
He said: “We are already more than halfway to our target of 128 entries so anyone who wants to get in needs to do so now.”
Heats for the Carlsberg UK-sponsored tournament, which carries a first prize of £700, will be held on Thursdays July 22 and 29, and August 5 and 12, plus Fridays July 23 and 30, and August 6 and 13 (6.30pm).
The finals will be held on Sunday, August 22 (1.30pm).
Entrance fee of £15 (cheques payable to Moorside Cricket and Bowling Club), should be sent with choice of date and SAE, to: Geoff Woolley, 115 Turf Pit Lane, Moorside, Oldham, OL4 2ND.
