HOLLINWOOD got their Bridgewater Office Supplies Manchester League premier division campaign back on track with a 4-2 win.

Paul Bennett’s side, who had picked only a point from their previous two matches, struck twice inside the opening 10 minutes against East Manchester.

Daniel Murray got both goals for Hollinwood, who added a third in the 18th minute through Daniel’s younger brother Liam.

Scott Yates scored number four in the second half.

Avro slipped to third in the table after they were held to a 1-1 draw against Prestwich Heys at The Lancaster Club.

Behind at the break, they levelled through O’Brien’s header and despite Heys having two players sent off, Avro were unable to press home their advantage.

Substitute Mark Hopwood was the two-goal hero as injury-ravaged Springhead came from behind to beat Stockport Georgians 3-1.

The hosts went ahead on the half-hour mark, but Lee McAllister’s side had a chance to hit back straight away, only for Richard Bennett to be denied by the ’keeper.

Bennett was moved into the centre of midfield for the second half, and the switch paid dividends as Springhead took control.

They drew level courtesy of Hopwood’s left-foot finish, before the same player kept his cool to put his side ahead.

Dale Jackman sealed victory five minutes from time after Hopwood, making his first appearance of the season at this level, had been denied his hat-trick by the ’keeper.

Royton Town’s woes continued as they went down 3-0 at Walshaw Sports.
