CHRIS Rabbich produced an extraordinary fightback to help the juniors at Crompton and Royton defeat the seniors in a Ryder Cup format duel.

The outcome of an epic encounter involving 24 matches hinged on the last game between junior intermediate member Rabbich and assistant professional Martin Beaty.

When Beaty was three holes ahead with only four remaining it looked as if the seniors would triumph with the odds stacked heavily against scratch-player Rabbich.

But the youngster won the last four holes, snatching victory with a birdie at the last as the juniors edged home 13-11.
