TOM Hardman was named man of the match as Heywood won the Lake Garage CLL’s Twenty20 Competition with a 13-run victory in the final at Clifton.
The teenager hit 30 in a Heywood total of 99 for eight and then took four for 13 as Clifton collapsed to 86 all out after being in control on 67 for three.
Professional Adil Nisar held the key to Clifton’s reply, but his dismissal for 35 changed the course of the match.
Fourth spot for Saddleworth
SADDLEWORTH thirds finished fourth, one place below Roytonians, in division two of the Site Electrical North Manchester League.
They recorded a seven-run win over Prestwich thirds before completing their campaign with a 38-run defeat at the hands of Greenmount thirds.
Uppermill ended their division four season on a high with a seven-wicket win over their Woodbank counterparts.
