Rangers in super start

A SUPER six-try show from Saddleworth Rangers earned them a 36-10 opening day win away at Leigh East.
Anthony Morrison, Tom Whitehead, Dan Bowker and Lewis Hough all crossed in the first half for the away side, with Matty Fogerty and Steven Kiss adding further efforts after the break.
James Greenwood landed all six of his goal attempts.
Cricket fun
SADDLEWORTH Rangers are aiming to bowl over the opposition on Sunday as the team takes part in a special fund-raiser.
Swapping the black-and-white kit for full whites, an event at Greenfield Cricket Club sees the Rangers first team, a Rangers Masters side, Greater Manchester Police and Greenfield themselves take part in a seven-a-side cricket tournament.
Plenty of stars are expected to be in attendance and there will be a bouncy castle and a barbecue to keep the whole family entertained. The fun starts at 2pm.
IN THE under-18s premier league of the North-West Counties Youth League, Oldham St Anne's lost 28-0 away at Wigan St Patrick's.
