WE WIN! The victorious Heyside team
Heyside celebrated Twenty20 Cup final glory last night at Austerlands’ Thorpe Lane ground.
South African professional Roelof Hugo struck 53 from 39 balls and Lee Watkinson claimed three for 13 from four overs as the Little Hey Street outfit defeated Uppermill by 37 runs.
Heyside made 166 for nine from 20 overs, before restricting their Saddleworth and District Cricket League rivals to 129 for eight. Dangerman Zeeshan Khan hit 46 for ‘Mill, who were 81 for one at the half-way stage of their innings.
