FA VASE giantkillers Chadderton have the chance to cause another upset in the second qualifying round a week on Saturday.
Chadderton, from the Vodkat North West Counties League first division, have been rewarded for winning at Formby with another tie against premier opponents from their own league.
They will have home advantage this time as they host Padiham, who defeated St Helens Town 4-3 in the first qualifier.
Oldham Town, who had a bye in the first qualifier, have been drawn away to AFC Blackpool.
The Fylde club, bottom of the first division without a point from five league fixtures, caused an upset by defeating premier division Maine Road 1-0.
OLDHAM TOWN have captured Arnold Nsimbe, a striker who has been playing for rivals Atherton Collieries.
The 18-year-old appeared for Collieries against Town in their opening match of the season and was a thorn in the side of their defence.
Nsimbe texted Town secretary Dave Shepherd saying he was looking for a club nearer to home. And as he lives in Werneth, Town could not have been much closer.
Nsimbe was handed his debut in Saturday’s 3-0 home league win against Holker Old Boys when midfield man Nick Murphy returned after a year-long absence through knee trouble.
The only dampener on Saturday was striker Callum O’Sullivan being taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital with damaged ankle ligaments.
MOSSLEY have signed two experienced players in a bid to revive their fortunes after a disappointing start to their UniBond League first division north campaign.
Right-winger Steve Settle has been brought in from Leigh Genesis while central-midfield player Karl Brown arrives from Chorley.
Settle (27) has played at Conference level for Leigh RMI as well as starring for Witton Albion.
Brown (26) also has a wealth of experience for AFC Telford United, Colwyn Bay, Hednesford Town, Ashton United, Warrington Town and Leigh Genesis as well as having a successful spell in Spain.
