Ashworth on mark for unbeaten Town

DANNY GILMARTIN: On the mark
ROYTON Town have started the new Manchester League Premier Division season impressively.
They opened up with a well-deserved 2-0 home victory against Bolton County.
On the mark were Danny Gilmarton and Saul Ashworth.
In midweek, Town drew 2-2 at Rochdale Sacred Heart.
Ashworth scored again, along with Andrew Stafford.
Newly-promoted Heyside have also taken four points from their opening two matches.
They opened up with a gritty 1-0 win against Old Alts, before drawing 2-2 at home to East Manchester in midweek.
Josh Briddon and Adam Dale were on target in that game.
Avro opened with a 3-2 home victory against Hindsford, handed to them thanks to strikes from Chris Howell, Callum Jackson and Mason Dunkley.
Ryan Fagan has scored both of Springhead's goals so far.
They lost 3-1 at home against Wythenshawe Amateurs, before then being held 1-1 by visiting Dukinfield Town.
In Division One, Chadderton's second string opened in cracking style as hat-tricks from Jake Jacobs and Matt Wilkinson sealed a 6-1 win at Boothstown.
Hollinwood lost 3-4 to Leigh Athletic. Scorers were Loma Kuzende, Aleem Salim and Abraham Girmay.
In Division Two, Uppermill defeated the Atherton LR Development team 5-2 courtesy of goals from Danny Gartside (two), Sam Flanagan, Aidan Stevenson and Lee Rainford.
