GREENFIELD face a crunch clash tomorrow at Ladd Hill Lane as they continue their fight for a top three finish in the Pennine League Premiership.
It seems highly likely that current leaders Walsden and Norden will be battling it out until the season's end for the big top flight prize, but Greenfield are currently in a top half tussle with a clutch of rivals to eventually secure that third spot.
Currently fifth, just five points adrift of third-placed Monton and Weaste, Greenfield host a Littleborough side who are just one point and one place behind them.
STRUGGLED
Walsden ought to continue their title charge as they host rock-bottom Saddleworth, while Norden welcome a Glodwick outfit who have also struggled at times this term.
Monton are the hosts as they entertain a Heyside team who may well have the Tanner Cup final on their minds.
Wood Cup finalists Crompton will have a certain amount of frustration to get out of the system, and they travel to take on fourth-placed Rochdale in what promises to be a tight affair at Redbrook.
Royton continue to go great guns in their bid to catch current Championship leaders Middleton.
They are joined in that battle by local rivals Moorside, and it's third versus second going head-to-head at Turf Pit Lane tomorrow.
Middleton host mid-table Shaw, so the Towncroft front-runners will not want any slip-ups on their way to a welcome title victory.
Fourth-placed Milnrow are at home against Werneth, while fellow strugglers Hollinwood and Oldham clash at Lime Lane in what could well be a tense affair.
Bottom two Micklehurst and Ashton host Uppermill and Friarmere respectively.
On Sunday the attention switches to a second prestige final in seven days as the Tanner Cup is up for grabs.
Hosts Heyside will be confident of course, but they face a very tough task indeed as they meet Premiership high-fliers Norden.
