MOSSLEY joint-manager Peter Band has spoken about some of his frustrations as the club's stuttering Evo-Stik League Division One North campaign draws to a close.
After this weekend's fixtures tomorrow at mid-table Kendal Town and at home against play-off chasing Glossop on Monday, the Lilywhites have only one more match to play.
It's been a season largely of strife, hindered by player injuries, departures and unavailability, but safety can finally be secured with victory at Kendal - a draw or even a defeat may suffice should second-bottom Goole not win.
'UPHEAVAL'
Band said: "At times it's felt like we've been taking two steps forward and then three back this season.
"There's been a lot of upheaval with the squad, with players leaving and one thing and another.
"We've also made mistakes on the pitch. Individual errors have proved costly on so many occasions, not least in our last game when we lost 3-0 to Colwyn Bay.
"It's been disappointing, but we're already planning for next season and we've already lined up eight or nine potential trialists who will come in over the summer."
Both Mossley's matches this weekend kick-off at 3pm.
CHADDERTON face a tough weekend of Hallmark Security League First Division action as next Thursday's crunch home Macron Cup semi-final second leg against City of Liverpool draws ever closer.
On the league front, Chaddy face the long trek to Cumbria tomorrow where they will take on mid-table Carlisle City.
They return home to the ARK Fleetech Stadium on Easter Monday for a home clash against fourth-placed Widnes.
With six games left to play, Mark Howard's men can still mathematically sneak into the play-off positions, but lots of other results would need to go in their favour for that to happen.
Should Chaddy reach the Macron Cup final - they take a 2-0 lead into Thursday's second leg - they would then meet Bootle at Fleetwood Town's Highbury Stadium on Tuesday, May 16.
