MOSSLEY joint-bosses Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison have moved to strengthen their depleted squad ahead of their final handful of fixtures in the Evo-Stik League Division One North, writes SIMON SMEDLEY.
The Lilywhites will head into tomorrow's home game against Scarborough Athletic on the back of two straight defeats.
Those results leave Mossley still eight points clear of the drop zone with just the five games left to play, but that didn't stop the activity on the ESL's transfer deadline day.
Elliot Harrison (20) has been signed. He is a central midfielder who has joined on loan from FC Halifax Town.
Left winger Danny Bell (26) has been snapped up from Diggle. He is a former Morecambe, Salford City and Clitheroe player who was on the junior books at Athletic.
STRIKER
Utility man Rob Flynn (25) and striker Danny McLaughlin (23) have also switched from Diggle, while Mossley have also captured Oladimeji 'Ladi' Odesanya (21), a confident young central defender.
He was signed from Hallmark Security League side Widnes and was previously with Stalybridge Celtic and Chadderton.
Mossley's season ends on Saturday, April 22, with a trip to Tadcaster Albion.
CHADDERTON, who have been improving steadily in the Hallmark Security League First Division lately, travel to Prestwich Heys tomorrow.
Chaddy are currently in ninth place in the table, though it would take a minor miracle for them to reach the play-offs as they are currently 11 points off sixth-placed Alsager with nine games left to play.
