CHADDERTON were in blistering form as they defeated the Hallmark Security League First Division's runaway leaders Whitchurch Alport 3-0 at the ARK Fleetech Stadium.
Mark Howard's men kept alive their feint play-off hopes thanks to a splendid and well-deserved victory.
All the goals came in the final quarter-of-an-hour, from Lewis Lacy, Liam Ellis and Sam Gibson.
Chaddy, who are now up to 14th position in the table, head to Eccleshall in their next fixture on Saturday.
Out-of-sorts MOSSLEY dropped worryingly closer to the Evo-Stik League Division One North relegation zone after sliding to a disappointing 2-1 defeat at drop rivals Ossett Albion.
It proved to be a miserable afternoon all round in Yorkshire for the Lilywhites, who also saw goalkeeper Will Jones sent off.
The first period belonged to the hosts, who led 2-0 at half-time.
Adam Muller and Ross Hardaker netted for Albion.
Tom Pratt pulled a goal back for Mossley with almost half-an-hour remaining, but they couldn't find that elusive equaliser.
The victory saw the hosts leapfrog Mossley in the table.
The Lilywhites are 18th, eight points clear of the bottom two.
They return to action with a home league derby against Tameside rivals Hyde United on Saturday.
