Moss strike fires Town into second

ROYTON Town are back up to second place in the Manchester League Premier Division thanks to a 1-0 victory at Dukinfield Town.
Michael Moss grabbed the all-important goal.
TRAVELS
Avro also won 1-0 on their travels, at fellow mid-table side Hindsford.
Springhead were held to a 1-1 draw at home by East Manchester.
In Division One, Lee Grocutt netted for Uppermill in a 1-1 draw at home against Govan Athletic.
Matt Booth bagged a hat-trick as his Chadderton reserves team shared TEN goals with Chapel Town at the ARK Fleetech Stadium.
Also on the mark for the hosts were Alieu Sheriff and Reece Skelton.
Hollinwood were beaten 4-1 at Altrincham Hale, while Heyside were held to a goalless home draw by Atherton town (see Match of the Day).

BREAK
ALL of our amateur football teams take a fortnight's break for the Christmas and New Year period, resuming activities on the weekend of January 7/8, with the exception of the Manchester League, which has a full programme of fixtures on New Year's Eve, December 31.
In the Premier Division, Springhead and Avro end the year with games at Dukinfield Town and AFC Monton respectively, while Royton Town host East Manchester at the Oldham Academy North (1pm).
In Division One, all of our local sides are on their travels. Hollinwood go to Atherton Town, Heyside are at Bolton County and Uppermill travel to play Boothstown.
