MOSSLEY joint-boss Peter Band is targeting an unbeaten festive period as his team aim to kick-start a push back towards the Evo-Stik League Division One North play-off places.
The Lilywhites have been in decent form of late, winning three of their last four games, and now they gear up for crucial clashes at fifth-placed Glossop on Monday (3pm kick-off), at home to 17th-placed Radcliffe next Thursday (7.45pm) and at home to 15th-placed derby rivals Droylsden on Monday week (3pm).
"We're looking for seven points, at least, from those three games," said Band.
'FRINGE'
"It's tight again so if we can get a bit of a run going then there's no reason why we can't get up to the fringe of the pack.
"No team is running away with the division this season, as has happened in the past.
"Scarborough have lost a few games lately, as have Lancaster, so it's up for grabs."
Mossley are currently 11 points shy of the top six, with a game in hand on some of the sides above them.
Meanwhile, winger Danny Byrnes is set to sign for Mossley this week following his negotiated release from Athletic.
Provided the necessary signing-on forms are completed, Byrnes could make his Lilywhites debut at Glossop.
Band said: "We're excited to have Danny at the club. You've obviously got something about you if you've just spent seven years at a pro club.
"He's trained with us and we've been very impressed."
CHADDERTON face a relatively quiet festive period in the Hallmark Security League First Division.
In their only game, they host Sandbach United on Boxing day (kick-off 3pm).
The ARK Fleetech Stadium outfit are not in action after that game until Saturday, January 7, when they host Alsager.
It's been a season of ups and downs so far for Chaddy under Mark Howard, who was appointed manager in the summer after leaving Manchester Leaguers Royton Town.
The Broadway side sit 14th in the league table, though they have made it to the quarter-final stage of the Macron Cup.
A trip to Premier Division side Nelson's 'Little Wembley' stadium beckons on Saturday, March 11.
