FORMER Athletic youngster Callum Scullion trained with Mossley last night, with Lilywhites joint-boss Peter Band admitting he would like to sign the talented left-back.

These are troubled times for Evo-Stik League Division One outfit Mossley, who have lost eight of their last nine games in all competitions.

Band said: "I've spoken to (Athletic youth boss) Tony Philliskirk about Callum, and he's clearly a quality player.

"He's had a bad time through injury, though, so he'll train with us and we'll have a look at him.

"We've been looking at three or four potential new players as we do need to shake things up a bit in the squad.

"We need to get back to winning ways quickly."
