Rampant Boro put Lilywhites to sword

MISERABLE Mossley crashed to a humiliating 8-0 defeat at new Evo-Stik League Division One North leaders Scarborough Athletic.
The Lilywhites were missing a number of players through injury or unavailability, but the ones who did play appeared doomed once Matthew Turnbull opened the scoring in the first minute.
Cameron Murray and Benny Igiehon stretched Athletic's lead to three by half-time.

The hosts then put Mossley to the sword in the second period, adding further goals from Turnbull, Carl Stewart (three) and Craig Nelthorpe.
The Lilywhites must somehow now try and rally themselves for tomorrow night's tough-looking trip to Scarborough's fellow high-fliers Lancaster City (7.45pm kick-off).
CHADDERTON'S scheduled home Hallmark Security League Division One fixture against Charnock Richard was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Chaddy return to action on Saturday when they travel to Premier Division side Maine Road for a Macron Cup third round tie.
