MOSSLEY have another good chance to finally grab three home points tomorrow as they welcome fellow mid-table side Trafford to Seel Park for an Evo-Stik League Division One North clash.
The Lilywhites have performed well on the road so far this term, highlighted by the 2-1 Tameside derby success at Hyde United on Tuesday when Dave Short scored twice.
However, of the 14 points Mossley have banked so far, only one has been won at home thanks to a dismal record of one draw and five defeats.
Joint-boss Peter Band said: "I just can't get to the bottom of why we can't seem to get a result at home.
"We played well in beating Northwich recently in the FA Trophy, but last weekend against Colne, we absolutely battered them and ended up losing 1-0.
"Whether it's something to do with the build-up and the way and the times we prepare, I'm not sure. It's a strange one.
"We played well at Hyde. Again we battered them and could have been five or six up by half-time.
"We are missing too many chances and we need to start finishing teams off when we're on top, but I can't complain too much because at least the lads are creating the chances."
Trafford will arrive in town just one point better off than their hosts.
Band added: "They've been a bit like us this season, a little bit inconsistent."
Band hopes to have Kyle McGonigle available again following a recent knee injury, while defender John Bennett is now free from suspension.
CHADDERTON manager Mark Howard will be after a response from his players tomorrow as they head to Northern Counties East League side AFC Emley for a Buildbase FA Vase first round tie.
Chaddy were thumped 6-0 at home by FC United in midweek in a Manchester Premier Cup fixture.
