SWIMMING:
JUBILANT Jessica Lloyd just loves swimming for the England Schools side.
The 15-year-old Saddleworth School pupil never fails to make a good impression for the national team’s world class development squad.
And the Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England (WISE) Internationals, held in Dublin, were no exception.
Jessica, a member of the City of Manchester swimming club, finished the 100 metre freestyle in a record 57.73, before forming part of the relay side which won 100m freestyle and 100m individual medley.
The hard work she put in beforehand at a training camp in Dubai clearly did the trick.
Mum Ann said: “Jessica was delighted to perform well.
“She was up against tough opposition, the best in their age group in the home nations, so it was special to be part of something successful.”
