Oldham clinch place in last 16

FOOTBALL: OLDHAM under-15s roared into the last 16 of the English Schools’ FA Inter-Association Trophy thanks to a 2-1 win over York at Failsworth Soccer Centre.
The visitors took the lead after half-an-hour.
But Oldham levelled matters with 20 minutes remaining through Tom Scullion (Failsworth).
Dillon Moth (Oasis) popped up with an 86th-minute winner for Adam Cree’s side.
BROADWAY Celtic under-13s raced to a 15-6 win against Moston Valley in the Tameside Sunday League. Chris Leonard got six goals, Hayden Young scored a hat-trick, Ryan Booth and Thomas Kershaw both bagged braces, while Billy Slattery and Matthew Wignall notched one apiece.
CHADDERTON FC Juniors under-13s defeated Manchester Macabbi 6-1. Ryan McConkie hat-trick put Chadderton on their way. James Larty, Darius Worsley and Stephen Goulding were also on the mark.
CHADDY End under-16s enjoyed a 3-0 victory at Moorside Rangers thanks to goals from Zak Porter, Liam Johnson and Joe Burgoyne.
But the under-14s went down to a 7-0 loss at the hands of Moston Juniors Reds.
ROBERT Gleave’s hat-trick inspired Chaddy End under-16s to an 8-1 win against Failsworth Dynamos in the Rochdale and Oldham Sunday League. Callum Maznyczenko got two and Harry Jackson, Michael Berrisford and Anthony Lally also scored.
CHADDERTON FC Juniors under-13s swept aside Denton Youth ‘B’ 10-0 in the Tameside and District Junior League.
James Larty hit three, Ryan McConkie and Michael Gill got two goals apiece, and Simon Winkley, Jordan Mitchell and Ashley Hartley also netted.
THOMAS McClusky, Thomas Osbourne and Thomas Ireson netted for 3D Dynamos under-13s in their 3-1 triumph over Barugh in the Huddersfield and District Junior League.
ROCS under-16s got the better of Oldham Athletic 3-0 in the North Manchester Girls’ League.
A Lauren Steel brace and Courtney Hunter’s strike did the job.
ROCS under-14s defeated Ashton Puma 3-0 in the Knockout Cup semi-final.
On the mark were Abby Bennett, Alys Wild and Ashleigh Spragg.
HEYSIDE under-14s beat Uppermill 3-0 through Ella Milovanovic, Hayley Tomlinson and Kinsa Hmami.
The under-13s won 11-0 against Roach Dynamos, with two goals apiece from Tanisha Williams, Elli Doggett, Caitlin Senior, Mia Holden and Jade Hughes, and a Georgia Clarke strike.
The under-13s Clarets edged out Middleton Girls 3-2. Ashleigh Wylie (two) and Sian Brady got the goals.
OLDHAM Rangers Blues under-15s edged out V’s United 3-2 thanks to a fine Danny Tindall hat-trick.
DANNY Laithwaite provided 3D Dynamos under-14s’ consolation goal in a 7-1 loss to Radcliffe Juniors.
