New-boy Schofield inspires Broadway

BROADWAY Celtic under-16s maintained their unbeaten record in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League with a 6-2 win against Rochdale St Clements.

A first-half hat-trick from new-boy Jack Schofield and Johnny Window’s curling free-kick put the local outfit in the ascendancy at the break.

But Saints pulled two goals back before James Leech and Mahidul Islam eased Broadway’s nerves.


Tameside and District Junior League 


OWEN Woodward and Robbie Wilkinson hit hat-tricks as Chaddy End FC under-11s swept aside Moston JFC 10-1 in the Tameside and District Junior League.

JJ Fraay scored twice, with Jordan Hardman and Ethan Hallsworth getting the other goals.

Tameside Sunday League

RYAN Mason (two), Tom Maloney, Joe Fagan and Charlie Burton were on the mark as Chaddy End FC under-13s overcame Failsworth Dynamos 5-0 in the Tameside Sunday League.

But the under-16s went down 3-1 at Moston Brook. Curtis Ingham scored the consolation.


Bury and Radcliffe Junior League

CHADDY End FC under-17s were beaten 2-0 by Littleborough in the Bury and Radcliffe Junior League.
